This 8" LuxCut III Head features 5 wings of knives with a total of 40 knives. If desired, additional replacement knives and screws can be ordered along (see optional drop-down above!)
New high quality (non-Chinese) bearings are included and come pre-installed onto the shafts!
IMPORTANT: Your jointer is using a generic cutter head that is also being used in many other machines on the market that were made in Taiwan. This generic head has seen some minor changes around the turn of the century. The difference between the old and new version is the shaft diameter where the pulley is mounted as older versions use a ¾” (0.750”) imperial sized pulley with a 3/16” (0.1875”), keyway, while newer versions use a 19mm (0.748”) metric sized pulley with 5mm (0.197”) keyway. Our LuxCut III Head comes with the newer metric sized shaft and requires the metric sized pulley. If your machine is from 2002 or younger, this head will work for you. It will also work on older machines but you will need to order a newer metric sized pulley from your local hardware store.
